Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a cosmetic compounded with a specific phosphatidyl diglycerol, having high oxidation stability, exhibiting excellent moisture- retainability in the skin and skin-activating effect such as promotion of blood flow, free from deterioration problems in contrast with phospholipid and useful as a raw material for cosmetic. CONSTITUTION:The objective cosmetic contains a phosphatidyl diglycerol containing a polyunsaturated fatty acid group having two or more double bonds. The polyunsaturated fatty acid phosphatidyl diglycerol is e.g. alkenylacyl phosphatidyl diglycerol, diacyl phosphatidyl diglycerol or alkylacyl phosphatidyl diglycerol wherein alkyl and alkenyl have 1-32C atoms. and the acyl is a 8-32C polyunsaturated fatty acid residue containing two or more double bonds in at least one of the components, e.g. hexadecadiene, linoleic acid or linolenic acid. The amount of the phosphatidyl diglycerol is preferably >=0.01wt.% based on the cosmetic such as cream or milky lotion.
