Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled coating containing a specific acrylic copolymer (neutralized product), melamine resin, benzoguanamine resin, blocked isocyanate and epoxy compound and having excellent edge covering properties and coating surface smoothness. CONSTITUTION:The aimed coating containing (A) 40-90pts.wt. acrylic copolymer (neutralized product) obtained by copolymerizing (i) 3-30wt.% acrylic monomer containing a basic nitrogen with (ii) 0-10wt.% ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or sulfonic acid, (iii) 3-30wt.% acrylic monomer containing hydroxylic group and (iv) 30-94wt.% ethylenic unsaturated monomer copolymerizable with component i-iii, (B) 10-60pts.wt. of (v) melamine resin or benzoguanamine resin expressed by formula I formula V and/or (vi) blocked isocyanate blocked with an alcohol and/or amine and (C) 0.1-20pts.wt. epoxy compound containing >=2 epoxy groups.
