Abstract
PURPOSE: To stabilize the output of a Stirling heat engine by providing at its output an electric load for controlling the rotation of this engine to hold its load const. CONSTITUTION: For driving a heat pump with a Stirling engine 1 as a power source, a rotational speed sensor 12 provided on the output shaft of the engine 1 measures the rotational speed variation of the engine 1 due to the variation of an air conditioner load or outside light, a field regulator 13 adjusts the field system of a generator 14 also provided on the output shaft and this generator 14 controls the rotational speed of the engine 1. Thus the electric load compensates the increment/decrement of the heat pump load, thereby always holding the entire load const. to result in a stable heat pump system.
