Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the quality of an image and to attain reduction in cost by constituting in such a way that at least more than two kinds of photosensitive materials whose hues are different can be selected in the final image. CONSTITUTION:A sensitive material selection system 190 is a system for selecting the photosensitive material in accordance with the hue of the original image and is constituted of an image detection device 170 which detects the hue of the original image, a hue judgement device 180 which judges whether the detected hue is colored or black and white and an actuation controller 184 which controls to drive either a color sensitive material conveying system 17a or a monochrome sensitive material conveying system 17b in a sensitive material supply part 12 according to the judgement of the hue judgement device 180. Since the image is formed in th same image forming method by using the photosensitive materials whose hues are different such as a color image and a monochrome image, the image of high quality can be obtained at low cost.
