Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the smooth switch of a terminal resistance by switching a bias power supply after connecting a 1st diode in series to the terminal resistance of a 1st cable with a 2nd diode connected in parallel to said terminal resistance and then switching the polarity of the bias power supply part for active connection secured between 1st and 2nd cables. CONSTITUTION:A forward diode 11 is connected in series to a terminal resis tance 4 of a transmission system 10 and an adverse diode 12 is set in parallel between both transmission systems 10 and 20. When the polarity of a bias power supply 13 is kept as it is, the diode 11 is set forward with connection of the resistance 4. In this case, the diode 12 is set adverse with substantial separation of a terminal resistance 7. Thus the system 10 is never affected even though the connection is secured for the system 20 via a connector. When of the bias power supply 13 is switched, the diode 12 is set forward with connec tion the resistance 7 together with the diode 11 set adverse with no connection of the terminal 4 respectively. Thus the signals obtained by connection of the connector are free from the turbulance. Thus the terminal resistances are smooth ly switched in case a working active transmission system is connected to a 2nd cable transmission system via a connector.
