Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the coefft. of light absorption of a titled medium and to shorten the transmittance change time at the time of writing by specifying the compsn. of a thin amorphous film. CONSTITUTION:Information is recorded on the medium formed with the thin amorphous film, which is expressed by the formula: InxSeyTez, on a substrate, from the change in the light transmittance which takes place when the above- mentioned thin film is locally heated by projecting laser light to the thin film. The values x, y, z of the above-mentioned thin film are respectively specified in 30<=x<=70, 0<=y<=50, 0<=z<=40 range and are set at x+y+z=100. The value are also 50<=x<=65, 10<=y<=50, 0<=z<=40 and the wavelength of the above- mentioned laser light is preferably nearly 800nm.
