Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce in size an inverter with a resistor of double resistor type by disposing a limiting resistor having substantially no quantity of heat inside and disposing a discharge resistor for continuously generating heat outside. CONSTITUTION:A groove is spirally dug on the curved face of a porcelain 10, an inside resistance wire 11 is disposed in the groove, an insulator 12 is provided thereon substantially in the same plane as the surface of the porcelain 10, and an outside resistance wire 13 is wound thereon. When the wire 11 is employed as a rush current limiting resistor and the wire 13 is employed as a discharge resistor, since the rush current limiting resistor is much thick in term of the thickness of the resistance wire used as the wire 13, the rush current limiting resistor generates substantially no heat with respect to its heat generating state, but the discharge resistor continuously generates heat. Accordingly, it is optimally disposed in view of its cooling face, its temperature rise is low, and its reliability is enhanced.
