Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a shielding sheet or panel providing desirable shielding effect for magnetism and electromagnetic waves, by combining amorphous alloy foils plated with a predetermined metal or alloy, non-plated amorphous alloy foils and iron, copper or aluminum foils to produce the shielding sheet while selecting types and the number of said components of the sheet according to intensity of magnetism or electromagnetic waves. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic and electromagnetic wave shielding sheet is formed of an amorphous alloy foil having a thickness of 0.02-0.1mm and a width of 25-200mm. The shielding sheet is plated with a metal selected fron a group consisting of Cu, Zn, Sn, Ni, Pb, Ag and alloys thereof, and the plated layer generally has a thickness of 0.1mum-10mum. An electromagnetic shielding panel is composed, for example, of three amorphous foils having a thickness of 0.04mm, two amorphous alloy foils plated with copper on the opposite surfaces and having a thickness of 0.04mm and one non- oriented silicon copper plate. Further, the panel is reinforced by two paper honeycomb plates having a thickness of 10mm and two plywoods. All these components are laid one over another and bonded together. By using the panel thus obtained for shielding, magnetism of 10 G for example can be decreased to 1 G or less.
