Abstract

CONSTITUTION: When a heater 5 generates heat, the pot 7 is heated by the heater 5 and a water temperature inside the pot 7 is gradually raised by heating and is turned to a boiling state higher than 98 deg.C, it is detected as the boiling state by a temperature detection means 24. Also, the water 18 inside the pot 7 is energetically absorbed to the rice 17 and the rice 17 is actively gelatinized. When time T corresponding to the rice cooking course elapses from the boiling state, open signals are outputted from a control means 25, a solenoid valve 11 is opened and excessive boiling water inside the pot 7 is discharged through a water discharge hole 8, a water discharge path 9, the solenoid valve 11 and a water discharge pipe 12 accompanying it. In such a manner, at the point of time when the water temperature inside the pot 7 reaches the boiling state, the sufficient amount of water 18 remains inside the pot 7 and the excessive portion is discharged thereafter.
