Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts and to prevent the enlargement of a device by providing an interface circuit to transmit and receive a facsimile signal between a telephone line or a radio and facsimile equiptment. CONSTITUTION:When facsimile equipment 2 is connected through an interface device 1 to a telephone line 3, the telephone line 3 is connected to pins 2 and 3 of a connector 101 and a telephone set 4 is connected to the pins 2 and 3 of a connector 102. When picture information is transmitted from the facsimile equipment 2, the telephone set 4 is hooked off and dialing is executed as usual and an opponent station is called. When the telephone set 4 is hooked off, a current flows at an off-hooking detecting part 104 and the detecting signal of an H level is outputted from a terminal 3. Thus, the output of a NOR circuit 106 becomes an 'L,' and this signal is inputted to the device 2 as an action permitting signal PMT. The device 2, when a signal PMT is an 'L,' can activate a transmitting action. When the opponent station device responds, an operating signal EXC of the device 2 is turned on and the telephone line 3 is connected through a transformer 108 to the device 2.
