Abstract
PURPOSE:To protect a load circuit by detecting the number of connections of loads to be connected with output connectors and by setting an overcurrent detection threshold value to the value corresponding to said number of connections. CONSTITUTION:When two load circuits are connected with output connectors, a connection detector 7 receives a connection detecting signal from connector current detection circuits 12, 13, 14 to output a signal corresponding to the connection of the two load circuits via a signal conductor 104. An overcurrent detection threshold setter 6 sets an overcurrent detection threshold value to 4.4 amperes relative to said signal and outputs said value to an overcurrent limiter 4. The overcurrent limiter 4, on the basis of a threshold signal and a signal from a current detector 5, outputs to a voltage stabilizer 3 a signal for permitting or inhibiting the supply of DC voltage and current to load circuits. Thus, the load circuits are protected from fuming, combustion and the like, when an apparatus is out of order. When three load circuits are connected with output connectors, the circuits are protected in like manner.
