Abstract
PURPOSE:To scarcely cause variation of an input/output characteristic, even if a frequency of an input signal is varied, and also, to obtain an amplitude compressing/expanding circuit of a desired input/output characteristic, by controlling the gain of an amplitude modulating circuit, based on an absolute value signal of an input signal and an output signal. CONSTITUTION:A gain (g) of an amplitude modulating circuit 3 is controlled, based on absolute value signals S11, S01 of an input signal S1 and an output signal S0, of an amplitude compressing/expanding circuit 10 for controlling the gain (g) of the amplitude modulating circuit 3, based on the input signal S1 and the output signal S0 of the amplitude modulating circuit 3. When the gain (g) of the amplitude modulating circuit 3 is controlled, based on the absolute value signals S11, S01 of the input signal S1 and the output signal S0, even if the frequency of the input signal S1 is varied, a fluctuation of the gain of the amplitude modulating circuit 3 can be reduced. In such a way, a desired input/output characteristic can be obtained, and also, a variation of the input/ output characteristic by the frequency of the input signal can be prevented.
