Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a compact and light picture blurring correcting device for video at low cost by providing a rock detecting means for a video camera and a picture blurring correcting means. CONSTITUTION:Longitudinal rock information and horizontal rock information are detected from the video signal of the output of an image pickup element 2 in a movement detecting circuit 7 and respectively fed back to the image pickup element 2 through gate circuits 5, 6 and BPFs 3, 4. The picture blurring correction in the image pickup element 2 is executed by a method for offsetting the picture blurring of the rock by moving the image pickup element itself by the use of an electric/mechanical transducing element such as bimolph and a method for varying the video signal reading timing of the image pickup element 2. In such a way, the compact and light picture blurring correcting device for video can be formed at low cost.
