Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure the safety by providing a lock mechanism fixing a manual shaft operated by an abnormality detection signal at the vehicle start to the non-drive range position between a transmission case and the manual shaft. CONSTITUTION:A manual plate 28 formed with a fan-shaped section 28b having a projection 28a and a wave-shaped recess 30 is fixed to a manual shaft 16. A control valve 14 is driven by this projection 28a, the tip section of a detent spring 34 is hooked on the wave-shaped recess 30 to give the moderation feeding at each range position, and a parking actuator 46 is operated via a park rod 42 and a parking trunnion 44. A solenoid actuator 50 is provided, a rod 50a is protruded by an abnormality detection signal at the vehicle start to lock the manual shaft 16. The safety is thereby secured, and the range switching due to the backlash can be prevented.
