Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve response of valve by controlling a gap between a valve seat and a valve body based on distortion of a bimetal element corresponding to the amount of heat applied thereon. CONSTITUTION:A heater 2 for supporting a bimetal element 1 and applying heat thereon is provided. A valve body 3 is coupled in displacing direction of the bimetal element 1 and interlocked with the bimetal element 1 to vary the gap between a valve seat 4 and the valve body 3. When current is fed to the heater 2, the bimetal element 1 is heated and distorted. The bimetal is made by sticking a thin stainless steel board having thermal expansion coefficient of about 16X10<-6> and a thin ceramic board having thermal expansion coefficient of about 5X10<-6>.
