Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance radiation effect from a condenser tube by disposing the condenser tube coated with paint of low electric conductivity at a place touching the outer box directly and then coating the tube with a high thermal conductivity material which is in solid state under normal temperature and being melted at high temperature using Joule heat. CONSTITUTION: A condenser tube 7 coated with paint 17 of low electric conductivity is inserted into a groove 13 made between the side face part 12 of an outer box 2' and the bend 16 of a front flange 6. A high thermal conductivity material 18 being melted by heaving up to 100 deg.C or thereabout is then applied around the condenser tube 7 coated with paint 17. When the material 18 is melted by applying a current to the condenser tube 7, fused material 18 has low fusion viscosity and flows smoothly into a gap 19. Current application is then interrupted and the material 18 is solidified. When a refrigerator thus manufactured is operated, heat radiated from the condenser tube 7 is transmitted to the outer box through high thermal conductivity material 18.
