Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve excellent in long-term preservation performance of a test piece, by arranging the test piece to support organic hydroperoxide, an acidity color indicator and an ultraviolet-ray absorbing agent on a carrier. CONSTITUTION:Organic hydroperoxide, an acidity color indicator and an ultraviolet-ray absorbing agent are supported on a absorbing carrier such as filter paper to compose a test piece for detecting a peroxide activating matter. The organic hydroperoxide herein used is t-butylhydroperoxide or the like. The acidity color indicator herein used is orthotolidine or the like. The ultraviolet-ray absorbing agent herein used is a salicylic acid based, a benzophenone based, a benzotriazole based, cyanoacrylate based ultraviolet-ray absorbing agent or the like. The use of the ultraviolet-ray absorbing agent eliminates discoloring and a drop in sensitivity due to the action of the peroxide activating matter (ultraviolet-ray or the like) in the atmospheric air. Thus, as the ultraviolet-ray absorbing agent is supported, changes in appearance color of the test piece otherwise caused by the irradiation of ultraviolet rays is checked thereby enabling prevention of a drop in the peroxide active substance detecting performance.
