Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase bonding strength in the step part of a core by forming the step part in apart for bonding the back core of an L shape core for recording and reproducing. CONSTITUTION:Plates 9a, 9b made of magnetic material are mounted at both sides of the L shape core 1a for recording and reproducing (R/W core). The upper ends of the magnetic plates 9a, 9b are connected lower by the height (h) of the back core 4 than the upper end of an L shape core 1a to form the step part 11. The lower ends of the magnetic plates 9a, 9b abut against the L shape non-magnetic cores 2c, 3c of an erasing core, respectively and the upper end of the magnetic plate 9a abuts against the one side face of the back core 4. The width W1 and the length L1 of a part for mounting a R/W bobbin 10 on whose periphery a R/W coil is wound are the same as the width W2 and the length L2 of a part for mounting an erasing bobbin 7 on whose periphery an erasing coil 8 is wound. Thereby, one side face of the back core 4 is bonded to the side face of the L shape core 1a and the other side face is bonded to the upper end face of the magnetic plate 9a to increase the bonding strength.
