Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the wiring or the like of an optical head device by mounting one a reflecting mirror on an objective lens actuator and independently taking out the quantity of rotation and the quantity of slide of an objective lens by one reflecting mirror. CONSTITUTION:The actuator 2 of the optical pickup 20 of the optical head device is rotatably disposed on a central axis 3 vertical to the disk face of an optical disk 30 and slidably disposed along the central axis 3. The objective lens 1 is disposed at a position deviated from and in parallel to the central axis 3 on this actuator 2 and the reflecting mirror 17 is mounted on the end face of the actuator 2 on which the lens 1 is mounted. A laser light from a laser source 6 is irradiated on the disk 30 through a cylindrical lens 7 and the reflected light thereof is detected by a division photodetector 5 through the lens 7. A photodetector 10 consisting of a light emitting element 16 and photodiodes 10a-10d is disposed adjacently to the reflecting mirror 17 to define a position detecting element to be a two dimensional position detecting element and independently detect the quantity of rotation and the quantity of movement of the lens 1.
