Abstract

PURPOSE:To set optionally a reference voltage from the outside of a chip by providing a terminal superimposing a DC signal and an AC signal used in the chip and the 1st separation circuit separating only the DC signal from the signal inputted to the terminal so as to form the brightness adjustment as the reference voltage to a TV receiver. CONSTITUTION:An AC signal (e.g., chrominance signal) is given to a superimposing signal input terminal 15 of an integrated circuit chip via a capacitor C3. Then an LPF 16 separates only the DC component from the superimposing signal and outputs it, the DC component is given to a noninverting input of a comparator 8 and it becomes the brightness adjustment DC potential. Moreover, the superimposing signal is inputted also to an HPF 17 provided in the chip. A video signal is given to a video signal input terminal 2 and to the noninverting input of the comparator 8 via a differential amplifier 1, a buffer circuit 5 and a register R3 similarly to a conventional circuit. Then the comparator 8 compares the video signal with the brightness adjustment DC potential given from an LPF 17 and outputs the result of comparison. The brightness adjustment DC potential is set optionally by adjusting a brightness adjustment variable resistor R8.
