Abstract

PURPOSE:To positively secure an observation window and an illumination window and to also secure safety in use, by mounting a cap composed of a transparent hard member to the leading end of an insert part. CONSTITUTION:A leading end part 6 is provided to the leading end of the insert part 3 of an endoscope. Three holes 9 are provided to the main body 7 of the leading end part 6 so as to pierce the same in the axial direction of the insert part 3. A transparent hard cap 17 is mounted to the leading end of the leading end part so as to cover the front parts of all of a channel port part 12, an observation window 16 and an illumination window. This cap 17 is composed of a cylindrical transparent hard member closed at one end thereof and the closed end wall is set to a top wall 18. The side part of the opening end of the cap 17 is screwed in the leading end part of the main body 7 of the leading end part 6.
