Abstract

PURPOSE:To start oscillations of a magnetron after fully preheating it by providing an inverter control circuit, and by stopping operation of an inverter when an instant value of a DC power source is high in starting operation of the power source by means of a timer circuit. CONSTITUTION:In an inverter control circuit C is provided a timer circuit 12, an oscillation control circuit 13, an oscillation circuit 14 and a drive circuit 15. When an AC power source 1 is put ON to produce output for only a period when the voltage of the circuit 13 is below a specified level, if the output from the circuit 14 is generated for the period, the output voltage of an output transformer 3 of an inverter B does not reach a specified value, a magnetron 11 does not oscillate and a heater 11a is preheated by means of the output of a heater coil 33. When the circuit works after a lapse of specified time, a switching element 4 of the inverter B is operated to start the oscillations of the magnetron 11. It is thus possible to start the oscillation of the magnetron after fully preheating the heater.
