Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically transfer a work being sent in without consuming large a mount of electric energy by employing a stopper, the vertical movement of which is controlled with a signal from a detector and with the action of a tilt mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A transfer cart 9 with a work 13 loaded on a free roller conveyer 12 advances along a reflection tape 10 and stops in the condition of one of its wheels riding on a mountain-shaped block 19 when an optical sensor 11 detects the stop position. Transfer is ready at this time if the stop confirmation signal is obtained from the optical sensor, if the transfer cart 9 is positioned on the reflection tape 10, and if the motor has stopped. A solenoid 17 works and a stopper 15 lowers while resisting the force of a spring 18. Simultaneously with the lowering of the stopper 15, the work 13 on the free roller conveyer 12 slides down the sloped surface of the conveyor and is transferred onto a roller conveyer table 20 connected to the end portion of the sloped surface.
