Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain talking without being affected by an incoming tone to a telephone set in use by revising a telephone set ringing at an incoming call from an external line or the like or decreasing the tone volume depending on the using state of entire telephone sets. CONSTITUTION:In detecting an incoming signal from an external line 16, for example, an incoming detection section 15 sends a signal to allow a control section 13 to give a call to plural extension telephone sets 2. In receiving the signal, the control section 13 reads the data in the using state of plural extension telephone sets 2 from a state detection section 12 at first and then reads the data of the installation distribution of the plural extension telephone sets 2 to be registered and the incoming signal tone volume data depending on the operating state of the plural extension telephone sets 2 from the storage section 14. Then the section 13 decides the sent tone volume of the incoming signal of an extension telephone set 2 to receive the incoming signal depending on the two data from the storage section 14 and the data of the operating state of the plural extension telephone sets 2 at present and sends the incoming signal of the decided tone volume to the decided extension telephone set 2. Thus, talking is attained without giving effect of the incoming tone to the telephone set in use.
