Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid the generation of the Joule heat of a winding, by forming the winding with superconducting material for setting the intermediate value of critical current density between the current density of the winding under the maximum operating condition of a compression element, and the current density of the winding at the time of starting. CONSTITUTION:A motor element is provided with a stator 2a and a rotor 2b. The winding 2c of the stator 2a is formed with superconducting material for generating a superconducting state at specific critical magnetic flux density, critical current density, and critical temperature. Then, the critical current density of the superconducting material is set to come to an intermediate value between the current density of the winding under the maximum operating condition of a compressor, and the current density of the winding at the time of starting. As a result, the Joule heat of the winding is hardly generated, and the motor element including the winding can be retained at a low temperature.
