Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the high speed performance and efficiency of the processing faculty by generating a gap between a cut elastic band and a succeeding elastic band by accelerating the shift of the elastic band, keeping a certain circumferential locus of the elastic band, and by transporting said elastic band to the circumferential contact position with the surface of a web. CONSTITUTION:An elastic band 5 which is cut to a prescribed length is transported along a circumferential locus by the continuous operation, keeping the extension state. When the elastic band 5 which acceleration-shifts, keeping the circumferential locus, reaches the circumferential contact position of the surface of a web 8, a prescribed gap is generated between the succeeding elastic band 5. This gap is allowed to correspond to the gap of the elastic band 5 arranged on the surface of the web 8 supplied continuously, and the continuous elastic band and the continuous web are continuously supplied. While, the cut elastic band 5 can be printed onto the web in a prescribed intervals by the continuous operation.
