Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the simple elimination of a difference in the heating temps. of a work by interposing a rate setter in the command system of a temp. indicating controller so that the supply power ratio to respective electric heaters for heating mainly the central part and edge parts of the work can be controlled. CONSTITUTION:For example, the narrow electric heater 2 for heating mainly the central part of a strip 1 which is the work to be conveyed horizontally in a furnace body is provided above said strip and the broad electric heater 3 for heating the edge parts of the work 1 is provided on the furnace floor. The temp. of the work 1 heated by the heaters 2, 3 is measured by a radiation thermometer 4 provided to the furnace ceiling and the measured temp. signal is inputted to the temp. indicating controller 5. The controller 5 detects the deviation from the preset temp. Control current is passed to a thyristor 6 according to this deviation and the supply power to the heater 3 is thereby controlled. The electric power to be supplied to the heater 2 is maintained always at the constant ratio of the electric power to be supplied to the heater 3 according to the setting of the rate setter 8.
