Abstract

PURPOSE: To quicken attenuation of an echo tail by arranging an echo pass filter having a transmission function Rs in an echo path.
CONSTITUTION: A hybrid circuit 1 is connected to a two-wire subscriber's line 15 through a line coupling transformer 11 and performs two-wire/four-wire conversion. The output of an echo canceller circuit 2 is connected to one four- wire side of the circuit 1, and the other is connected to the input of the circuit 2 through an echo pass filter 3. The filter 3 has a transmission function Rs and is so operated that attenuation of the echo tail generated by the DC cut-off characteristic of the transformer 11 is quickened.
