Abstract

PURPOSE:To simply obtain an effective ERG waveform, by setting predetermined noise quantity to the interior of an electroretinogram (ERG) measuring apparatus and keeping the tolerant range thereof within a definite time before automatically applying flash stimulation. CONSTITUTION:Different electrodes 6 such as contact lens electrodes are mounted to left and right eyes and, further, indifferent electrodes 7 are mounted to the temple and ear electrodes 8 for earthing are mounted to ears to measure retina potential. The electrodes 6, 7, 8 are connected to the predetermined terminals of the main body 1. In such a case that an automatic and manual operation change-over button 11 is pushed to select automatic operation, when a start button 10 is pushed, an automatic flash mechanism is operated and, after a noise level is stabilized in the retina potential collected on the basis of the inputs from the electrodes 6, 7, 8, a xenon lamp 3 is automatically flashed to make it possible to obtain an objective ERG waveform.
