Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture stainless cold rolled steel strip having excellent surface gloss with high efficiency by executing oil free rolling at the rolling reduction rate exceeding 5% further after making the surface roughness of a steel body of after annealing and surface property adjustment treatment <=2mum averaged roughness Ra. CONSTITUTION:In order to improve the surface gloss of a product by reducing the surface roughness of a steel strip during cold rolling or after cold rolling, the surface property adjusting treatment of an intermediate annealing, picking, etc., is executed on the stainless steel strip of after hot rolling completion and the surface roughness of the steel strip after treatment is set in <=2mum averaged roughness Ra. This steel strip is subjected to oil free rolling at the rolling reduction rate exceeding 5% and the pretreated steel strip thus obtd. is rolled by a cold tandem mill or Sendzimir mill and after executing a finishing annealing pickling or finishing gloss annealing respectively, a finishing refining rolling is executed. The cold rolled stainless steel strip having excellent surface gloss can be thus produced with high efficiency.
