Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a spike pin capable of projecting and retracting automatically on the surface of a tire according to the condition of a road surface by disposing a damping member made of a material changing its hardness according a change in temperature on the lower surface of a flange provided integrally with the lower end of a pin body. CONSTITUTION:This spike pin 1 is constituted of a pin body 2 and a damper material 3. The pin body 2 is formed integrally with a tubular portion 6 and a flange portion 7 made of metal such as steel, for example. The tubular portion 6 has a slantly cut edge on the upper end. Also, the flange portion 7 has a plurality of claws 12 intermittently suspended from the peripheral portion and holding the damper material 3. This damper material 3 is formed of a material varying in hardness according to change in temperature, for example a base material made of elastic material such as rubber and a grain dispersion system material having dispersed grains of material such as polyvinyl acetate which reduces the hardness at high temperature and increase the hardness in low temperature.
