Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a stable running state even in the case where the center of gravity in a vehicle is varied by detecting the center of gravity in the vehicle, and when the vehicle centroid is more deflected to the rear axle side than the usual, compensating the steering ratio of rear wheels to front wheels so as to become larger at the same phase side than that which is usual. CONSTITUTION:A front-wheel steering mechanism 1 steers front wheels 9 via transmission means 5-8 after rotation of a steering shaft 3 to be steered together with a steering wheel 2 is converted into reciprocating motion. And, a rear-wheel steering mechanism 10 is connected to the front-wheel steering mechanism 1 via a steering ratio variable linkage 11. A controller 19 controls the steering ratio of rear wheels 30 to front wheels 9 according to a detection signal out of a car speed sensor 31. In the above-mentioned device, each of load sensors 33, 34 for each axle of these front and rear wheels is additionally installed there as a means 32 detecting the center of gravity in a vehicle. Then, a device 35, compensating each steering angle of these rear wheels 30 according to each detection signal out of the sensors 33, 34 is installed in the controller 19.
