Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent impairment of the opening portion of a container upon dropping by proving an annular projecting portion for carrying purpose around the container body and an opening portion with a lid having its edge portion inside the container below a plane perpendicular to a diagonal line connected from a transitional portion between the wall and upper part of the container to a transitional portion between the wall and bottom thereof in contact with the edge of a projecting portion. CONSTITUTION:An edge portion 6 of an opening portion 5 of a container with a detachable lid lies inside the container not extending beyond a plane 8 perpendicular to a diagonal line 7 of the container connected from a transitional portion 3 between a wall 1 and an upper part 2 to a transitional portion between the wall and a bottom, thereby reducing or eliminaing directional impacts against the opening 5 with the detachable lid in the upper part of the container upon diagonal dropping of the container onto the surface of the transitional portion 3 on the diagonal line 7 thereof. In order to avoid impairment of the opening portion 5 upon diagonal dropping, the edge portion 6 is formed on the container side below the plane 8 perpendicular to the diagonal line of the container brought into contact with the upper portion of the container after the deformation of the projecting portion 4 upon the diagonal dropping thereof. The annular projection 4 for carrying purposes is positioned upwardly and exteriorly of the container above the plane 8 to first receive the impact upon the diagonal dropping so as to protect the opening portion 5, particularly concerning the edge portion 6.
