Abstract

PURPOSE: To make tissue storage capacity more than double than in another equivalent carton by forming at least one folding line on each tissue sheet and interfolding out folded tissues so that the interfolded line is perpendicular to the folding line. CONSTITUTION: A tissue web 11 has perforations 12 which specify the length of each tissue sheet in the web. The sheet 11 is folded in an arrow direction 21 and has a folding line 22 parallel to MD of the sheet. The folded sheet is folded in another direction 31. The folded web having continuous perforations is folded out each other with another web having continuous perforations. The two folded webs each having perforations are interfolded and separated into clips, and the interfolded clips are packed. The interfolded tissues contained in a carton 61 are withdrawn in a direction corresponding to MD through a dispensing opening 62.
