Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the burden on a maintenance man by providing a maintenance center with a shared console, which operates the test, and a relay controller which controls transmission and reception of test commands between the console and a test equipment.
CONSTITUTION: The maintenance man inputs the number of a subscriber's line to be tested to a relay controller 27. The controller 27 selects a subscriber test equipment 25 in accordance with the subscriber's line number. Next, information of the selected test equipment is sent to a controller 21 together with the subscriber's line number. The controller 21 operates matrix circuits 28-1 and 28-2 and leading-in switches 31-1 and 31-2 in accordance with this information to connect test equipments 25-1 and 25-2 with subscriber's lines 29-1 and 29-2 to be tested. Test equipments 25-1 and 25-2 successively perform the test after leading in subscriber's lines 29-1 and 29-2, and reports results to a shared console 12-1.
