Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce useful protein in high efficiency, by proliferating a recombinant vaccinia virus including DNA coding a useful protein in the presence of human AIDS virus HIV tat-protein. CONSTITUTION:A recombinant vaccinia virus which has a DNA coding a useful protein inserted into the genome region not essential for proliferation of vaccinia virus is proliferated in the presence of a human AIDS virus HIV tat-protein in a usual manner, e.g., using PK-13 as host cells, at about 36-39 deg.C for 1-7 days. After completion of culture, the useful protein is collected from the culture supernatant and the cultured cells.
