Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily obtain a separator for a filter having a taper shape by continuously curving a sheet stock to such a corrugated shape that the height of corrugations of irregularities in one end side is made smaller than the height of corrugations of irregularities in the other end side. CONSTITUTION:A separator 1 for an air filter is constituted by continuously curving a sheet stock and forming both protruding streaks and recessing streaks which are stretched to one direction. In one end side A of this one direction, the pitch and the height of irregularities are made smaller than the pitch and the height of irregularities in the other end side B respectively. Therefore in the case of producing the separator, the need for punching the sheet stock is eliminated and material loss is not generated. Further this separator is free from a crushed pleat and therefore the surface is made flat and it is excellent in durability.
