Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a seamed felt for paper making, having a few wrinkles by bending a woven fabric having formed loops at the both ends, mutually engaging loops at the both ends, passing a specific monofilament through the loops and wholly heat-treating the woven fabric. CONSTITUTION: A synthetic yarn woven fabric having formed loops 8 and 9 at both ends are bent, the loops 8 and 9 at both the ends are mutually engaged and a synthetic multifilament 11 is introduced into both the loops 8 and 9 to make the woven fabric endless. The whole woven fabric is heat-treated. When the woven fabric has A% heat shrinkage in the width direction of the woven fabric at its heating setting temperature, a monofilament having A+(0-1.5)% heat shrinkage is selected. The monofilament has preferably 0.8-2.0 mm diameter and preferably 120-180 deg.C heat setting temperature.
