Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize the voltage of a generator by controlling a tap position of an on-load tap changer so that its position can compensate the voltage drop caused by current. CONSTITUTION:When the power is supplied to a system bus 3' from a system bus conductor 3 through a transformer 4, the secondary voltage of PT5 and the secondary current of CT6 are inputted into a power converter 7 to decide a current direction, then the result is transferred to a computer 9. The secondary current of CT5 is inputted into the computer 9 whereby the voltage drop is computed, then an appropriate tap position is decided. A tap of the proper transformer 4 is computed, and the tap is automatically boosted and dropped until it reaches such a tap position that is equivalent to it. Accordingly, the voltage drop caused by the impedance of the transformer 4 and a circuit is offset, and an appropriate power system interconnection not causing transverse flowing can be made.
