Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve grindability of a base body of a photosensitive body, to improve the characteristics of the surface of the body, and to improve also the quality of picture image by constituting the base body of an Al alloy contg. 0.05-0.25wt.% Si, and 0.01-0.40wt.% Fe. CONSTITUTION:A base body 1 of a photosensitive body is constituted of an Al alloy contg. 0.05-0.25wt.% Si, and 0.01-0.40wt.% Fe. By constituting the base body of an Al alloy having said chemical compsn., sticking of fine Al powder to the surface of the base body during grinding and cutting is retarded, and a tissue of the base body 1 contains scarcely crystallized phase and deposited phase to be avoided as causes for surface defect. The Al alloy is ground to satisfactory surface condition with a bit 7 having roundness in the nose 8a causing scarcely sticking of fine Al powder during grinding or cutting. By this constitution, the grindability of a base body for a photosensitive body, characteristics of the surface, and the image quality are improved.
