Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily alter the control configuration of the device by using a portable recording medium and two kinds of input means for a key switch and selecting a recordable state and selecting one mode among plural modes and performing copying operation. CONSTITUTION:This device is equipped with a reading means 11 for the portable card such as an IC card and the key switch 12 such as a ten-key for inputting a password number. Then a mode selecting means 13 is provided which selects one of at least three modes, i.e. a 1st mode where recording is enabled unconditionally, a 2nd mode where the recording is enabled when a prescribed card is set on the reading means and a 3rd mode wherein the recording is enabled when the specific password number is inputted from the key switch. Therefore, a supervisor can set a mode freely. Consequently, the control configuration of the device can be varied adaptively.
