Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize a very stable tracking by cutting off a loop of a tracking servo system at the output side of a gain switching circuit by means of an error signal so as to give a signal having a level holding a position of just preceding state of a laser pickup to the laser pickup. CONSTITUTION:The track jump effect against an external shock and vibration is improved by improving the sensitivity of detecting vibration in the track jump preventing circuit against the external shock and vibration while consisting of a band pass filter BPF 6, a vibration detection circuit 7 and a gain switching circuit 8. Even if a flaw or a black dot exists and the gain of the gain switching circuit 8 is increased, the loop of the tracking servo system is cut off to hold the laser pickup 3 at the position of just preceding state. Thus, a large displacement of the laser pickup 3 responding excessively to an error signal due to flaw or black dot is prevented thereby avoiding track jump.
