Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable execution of extreme high speed dividing through comparatively simple structure, by a method wherein a linear part where a cam follower is not rotationally driven is situated on the cam surface of a roller gear cam, and a plurality of dividing surfaces are formed on a turret coupled directly to a turret shaft. CONSTITUTION:A turret tool stock is formed with a roller gear 20, receiving a drive force from a toothed belt 25 for rotational drive, a cam surface formed on the outer peripheral surface of the roller gear cam, a turret shaft 3 having a cam follower 8 geared with the cam surface, a linear part, provided on the cam surface with a track surface on which the cam follower 8 is not rotationally driven, and a turret 7 coupled directly to a turret shaft 3 and having a plurality of dividing surfaces. When the linear part is situated on the cam surface, even if the roller gear cam 20 has slightly poor angle positioning precision, no influence is exercised on the stop position of the turret shaft 3, and its rotational drive speed can be increased. This constitution enables execution of extreme high speed dividing through comparatively simple structure.
