Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the noise margin without sacrificing the switching speed by clamping a base potential of a transistor(TR) in the nonconductive state being nonconductive through the reception of a signal designating a low level to a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:In receiving a low level signal from an input terminal 3 to a base of a pnp TR 5, the TR 5 is conductive, npn TRs 7, 9, 14, with Schottky barrier diode(SBD) are nonconductive npn TRs 11, 12 with SDB are conductive and an output terminal 4 goes to a high level. In a clamp circuit 16, the cathode potential of the SBD 23 is nonconductive with rising of cathode potential and the SBD 17 and the npn TR 18 are conductive to receive a voltage divided by a resistor 22 at the base of the latter TR.
