Abstract

CONSTITUTION:When a cartridge 60 to have the recording medium is conveyed to a fetching/discharging position by a medium exchange device, the cartridge 60 is fetched in an arrow direction, a flag 61 moves against the energizing force of a spring 62, and interrupts the light path between a light emitting diode 63 and a light receiving element 64. Further, the loading/unloading detecting signal of the cartridge case 60 is obtained by a current flowing to the light receiving element 64, and outputted to a CPU and an output terminal 65. Consequently, when the system to have the exchange function of the recording medium is constituted, the signal to have detected the fetch of the recording medium can be directly outputted to the medium exchange device of the system. Thus, the circuit constitution and control of the system are simplified.
