Abstract
PURPOSE:To protect a lead-acid battery against high temp. heat radiation by furnishing a metal thin layer partially on the external surface of a battery jar, wherein the outermost layer of the metal thin layer is formed from an anti-acid resin. CONSTITUTION:As a heat reflex element a metal thin layer 6 is formed into a synthetic film 5 with an anti-acid resin thin layer 7 and furnished partially on the surface of a battery jar C, being attached to one of the shorter side-faces of the battery jar C and half of one of the longer side-faces by the use of adhesives 8. The metal thin layer 6 can be selected as desired from those which have metallic luster, for ex. Al, and the method of attaching shall be such that the one where a metal thin layer 6 is printed on one face of the resin thin layer 7 having acid resistance in advance is attached to the surface of a battery jar base material 9 using indirectly a bonding agent 8 having acid resistance. Thereby the battery can be protected against radiated heat from a high temp. source.
