Abstract

PURPOSE:To store a short time transient phenomenon such as a discharge phenomenon into a picture memory by providing a signal phenomenon into a picture memory by providing a signal detecting and pulse generating means, generating a timing pulse signal with the means, and operating the picture memory based on the timing pulse signal. CONSTITUTION:A video signal 7 is sent to a video signal amplifier circuit 12 of a signal detecting and pulse generating means 11, amplified, and sent to an integration circuit 13. By receiving an output (the inversion output) from a comparator 16, a trigger pulse generating circuit 20 generates a trigger pulse 21, and inputted to an AND circuit 23 of a timing means 22 together with a V synchronization signal 9. The timing pulse signal 24 from the AND circuit 23 is amplified by a pulse output circuit 25 and inputted to a picture memory 32, and sets the picture memory 32. Thus, the picture memory 32 starts to write a video signals 5 from an above-mentioned image pickup means 1, and records the picture of one frame or one field.
