Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a herbicide for wheat field, exhibiting stable and high herbicidal effect against annual and perennial gramineous weeds, broad-leaved weeds and cyperaceous weeds from preemergent stage to grown stage, by using a mixture of a specific isoxazolidine and a urea herbicide as active component.
CONSTITUTION: The objective herbicide contains (A) 1pt. of 2-{2-[4-(3,5- dichloropyridin-2-yloxy)phenoxy]propionyl}isoxazolidine of formula I exhibiting excellent herbicidal effect against gramineous weeds, giving phytotoxicity to wheats and having no herbicidal activity against broad-leaved weeds and cyperaceous weeds and (B) 1W20pts. of a compound selected from 3-(3,4- dichlorophenyl)-1,1-dimethylurea of formula II, 3-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-1-methoxy-1- methylurea of formula III and 3-(4-isopropylphenyl)-1,1-dimethylurea of formula IV.
