Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an adhesive excellent in adhesiveness to noble metals, teeth, etc., and desirably usable in the dental field, by mixing a specified polymerizable thiophosphate compound with a specified polymerizable acid monomer as essential components. CONSTITUTION:A polymerizable thiophosphate compound of formula I (wherein m is 1-4, R is 0 or 1, R1 is an m-valent organic group having a radical- polymerizable olefinically undaturated double bond, X<1> is O, S or =NH, and Y1, Y2 and Y3 are each S or O), e.g., a compound of formula II, is mixed with a polymerizable acid monomer having at least one acid group and at least one radical-polymerizable olefinically unsaturated double bond (e.g., a compound of formula VII). The obtained mixture is further mixed with necessary additives such as a solvent, a polymerization initiator and a filler to give an adhesive.
