Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify a support structure and provide stable support for a house built on a pedestal built on a slope by using stress skin panels which can transmit loads to a pedestal as panels forming a floor, exterior walls, and a roof. CONSTITUTION: A floor truss is constructed by placing a plurality of intersecting trusses 21, 22 on a pedestal 11 built on a slope and a floor is formed by placing stress skin panels 40 on the floor truss. Exterior walls 50 are constructed by placing laminated grooved planking stressed skin panels 51 around the perimeter of the floor truss and onto the floor. A roof 60 is constructed by placing a stress skin panel 61 on rafters 63, 65 fixed on the tops of the exterior walls 50. The panels 40, 51, 61 work to transmit loads laterally to the pedestal 11. Therefore, the corners of a house 10 can be stably supported by the pedestal 11 alone without vertical supports, whereby a support structure can be simplified.
